๐ Full Moon & Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces | August 27, 2026
When Your Intuition Stops Whispering โ ๐โจ
There comes a point when your intuition gets tired of dropping subtle hints.
You know the ones.
That feeling you keep explaining away. The boundary you know needs to move. The situation you have analyzed from seventeen different angles because apparently angle eighteen might finally make it feel right.
Enter the Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. ๐โ
Pisces is not particularly interested in your beautifully organized argument for why you should continue carrying something that is exhausting you.
Virgo brought the spreadsheet.
Pisces brought the feeling you cannot file.
And somewhere between the two is the truth. ๐
This Full Moon brings attention to what has been building beneath the surface, emotions, intuition, dreams, old attachments, compassion, unfinished feelings, and those sneaky little places where empathy quietly turned into carrying things that were never ours.
Full Moons bring illumination, culmination, and release. Pisces brings themes of surrender, sensitivity, spirituality, compassion, and completion. Add a Lunar Eclipse, and this Lunation can feel like a stronger turning point around something that has already been asking for our attention.
Sometimes closure is a conversation.
Sometimes closure is forgiveness.
And sometimes closure is realizing you have discussed the situation with yourself enough. ๐

โฐ Exact Full Moon: 9:18 PM PDT
๐ Partial Lunar Eclipse Maximum: Approximately 9:14 PM PDT
๐ Full Moon Degree: Approximately 4ยฐ53โฒ Pisces
๐ Element: Water
๐ฆ Modality: Mutable
โ Traditional Ruler: Jupiter
๐ฑ Modern Ruler: Neptune
โ๏ธ Opposing Sun: Virgo โ
โจ General Theme: Emotional truth, intuition, release, discernment, boundaries, surrender, closure, and spiritual clarity
If you see August 28 listed elsewhere, the Moon did not suddenly change its appointment. ๐
The Full Moon occurs August 28 in UTC and Eastern time, but here on the West Coast it reaches fullness on the evening of August 27.
Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac, giving this sign strong astrological associations with completion, integration, surrender, and allowing one chapter to dissolve so another can eventually begin.
As a Mutable Water sign, Pisces is receptive, intuitive, imaginative, compassionate, emotionally sensitive, and adaptable.
Pisces is traditionally ruled by Jupiter, associated astrologically with growth, faith, wisdom, meaning, and perspective.
Its modern ruler, Neptune, is associated with dreams, intuition, spirituality, creativity, compassion, imaginationโand also the potential for fog, idealization, escapism, and blurred boundaries.
That combination makes discernment especially important during this Lunation.
Not every fear is intuition and not every attachment is destiny.
Not every person you deeply understand needs unlimited access to you.
And not every ending means something went wrong.
๐ฎ What to Expect During the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
This Full Moon sits opposite the Virgo Sun, creating one of astrology's most interesting balancing acts.
Pisces feels. Virgo evaluates. Pisces trusts what cannot always be explained.
Virgo would really appreciate supporting documentation. ๐
Together, though, they can make an excellent team.
Virgo helps us examine the facts whileย Pisces helps us listen to what is happening beneath them.
Under this Full Moon, you may become more aware of where you have been trying to think your way out of something your emotional body already understands.
You may notice:
๐ Feelings that have been quietly building, becoming harder to ignore
๐งฟ Stronger intuitive nudges and meaningful dreams
๐ซง Emotional exhaustion around situations with unclear boundaries
๐ญ A realization that something you hoped would change simply has not
๐๏ธ A desire to forgive, close a chapter, or stop emotionally revisiting the same story
๐จ Increased creativity, imagination, sensitivity, or spiritual reflection
๐ช Greater clarity around where compassion needs a boundary attached to it
There is also a strong mental component surrounding this Lunation.
The Sun and Mercury meet in Virgo earlier on August 27, emphasizing observation, communication, facts, conversations, and understanding what is actually happening right now, not simply what we hoped was happening.
Then Uranus enters the conversation. โก
Uranus in Gemini forms a very close square to the Virgo Pisces Full Moon axis, with Mercury and the Sun also moving through their own squares to Uranus around the Lunation.
Translation?
Information can arrive unexpectedly and our perspective can shift quickly.
Something you had neatly categorized may suddenly refuse to stay in its folder, or may need revisiting.ย
A conversation, realization, piece of information, or internal breakthrough could change the way you understand something.
That does not mean every sudden feeling requires a sudden decision.
Pisces is sensitive. Eclipse periods can already feel heightened. Uranus adds unpredictability, so loves, instead of reacting immediately:
Feel first.
Discern second.
Then act when the truth still feels true after the emotional wave settles.
That is where Pisces intuition and Virgo discernment work beautifully together!ย
๐ Full Moon Ritual
What Is Mine, and What Am I Ready to Put Down?
This ritual works with Pisces Water energy, Full Moon release, intuition, emotional discernment, and healthier boundaries.
โจ What You Will Need
๐ฏ๏ธ One white, pale blue, lavender, or sea-green candle โ to represent clarity and illumination
๐ One crystal: Amethyst, Aquamarine, Moonstone, Labradorite, or Clear Quartz โ to serve as your grounding and intention anchor
๐ฅฃ A bowl of clean water โ representing Pisces, emotion, intuition, and release
๐ง A small pinch of sea salt โ for symbolic cleansing
๐ฟ Lavender or Jasmine โ fresh or dried to enjoy as a scent, dried herb to burn safely as incense
๐ Two small pieces of paper
โ๏ธ A pen
๐ฏ๏ธ Step One: Set the Space
Place the bowl of water in front of you and add a small pinch of sea salt.
Arrange your lavender or jasmine beside the bowl, light your candle, and place your crystal between yourself and the water.
Take a few slow breaths.
Hold the crystal in both hands and ask:
โWhat have I been carrying emotionally that may not actually belong to me?โ
Do not force an answer.
Pisces usually whispers before it starts using a megaphone.
๐ Step Two: Name What You Are Ready to Release
On your first piece of paper, complete:
I am tired of carryingโฆ
I keep emotionally returning toโฆ
I know this needs a stronger boundaryโฆ
I have been hoping this would change even thoughโฆ
The feeling I keep explaining away isโฆ
When you finish, read your answers quietly.
Then hold the paper over the bowl of waterโnot in itโand say:
โI acknowledge what I have carried. I release what is not mine, what is complete, and what I no longer need to keep revisiting.โ
Tear the paper into pieces and dispose of it separately.
Your plumbing still did not volunteer to eat your Full Moon homework. ๐
๐ง Step Three: Let the Water Do Its Job
Now place both hands around the outside of the bowl.
Think about everything you just named.
Then dip your fingertips into the water and slowly rub the water across your palms, as though you are washing away emotional residue.
As you do, say:
โI can care without carrying.
I can feel without absorbing.
I can release without losing myself.โ
Take a moment here.
The water represents what Pisces understands beautifully: emotions are meant to move.
They were never meant to become permanent furniture.
๐ฟ Step Four: Come Back to Yourself
Pick up your lavender or jasmine and gently breathe in the scent. If you prefer, safely burn a small amount of the dried herb in a fire-safe dish and let the aroma mark your transition from release to clarity.
Let this be your transition from release to clarity.
Then hold your crystal again and ask:
โNow that I have put something down, what feels true?โ
Notice the first honest answer that comes forward before your mind begins editing it.
๐ Step Five: Write What You Are Choosing
On your second piece of paper, complete:
My intuition has been asking me toโฆ
The boundary I need now isโฆ
I am ready to forgive myself forโฆ
The chapter I am willing to stop reopening isโฆ
I want to make room forโฆ
Place this page beneath your crystal overnight.
Let the candle burn for a few more quiet moments while you sit with what you wrote, then extinguish it safely.
๐ Step Six: Close the Release
Take the bowl of water to the sink.
As you pour the water down the drain with running water, say:
โWhat I have released does not need to return with me.โ
Wash and dry your hands.
Simple. Done.
No chasing the energy back down the hallway. ๐
โ๏ธ The Next Morning
Remove the second page from beneath your crystal and fold it toward yourself.
Keep it somewhere meaningfulโinside your journal, on your altar, beside your planner, or somewhere you will actually see it.
This page is different from the one you released.
This one holds what you are choosing to honor.
Keep it until you have taken at least one practical action based on what you wrote.
Carry the crystal with you that day or place it somewhere visible as a reminder.
Because Pisces may give you the insight, but eventually Virgo would like you to actually do something with it. ๐๐โ

Because this is also a Lunar Eclipse, I would use the night for listening, clearing, reflecting, and noticing what comes forward rather than trying to force a particular outcome.
Different spiritual traditions approach eclipse Magick differently, so there is no universal rule saying you must or must not perform ritual during an eclipse.
For this one, I prefer: Information first. Action afterward. ๐โจ

๐ฎ Main Question:
What do I already know emotionally that I keep trying to explain away?
This Full Moon does not require you to have every answer.
It simply asks you to stop pretending you have no idea what the question is.
There is a difference. ๐โ
Thank you for reading this Full Moon blog and for spending another Magickal Lunar moment with me.
May this Pisces Full Moon help you hear the truth underneath the noise.
May you recognize which emotions belong to you and which ones you have lovingly, accidentally, and perhaps a little too enthusiastically picked up from everyone else.
May you release the stories that have already taught you what they came to teach.
May compassion remain one of your gifts without becoming an invitation to abandon your own boundaries.
May you forgive yourself for the times you knew something before you were ready to accept it.
And may you remember that intuition does not always arrive dramatically.
Sometimes it is simply the same quiet truth returning until you finally stop arguing with it.
You do not have to understand every feeling before you are allowed to honor it. ๐ ๐งก
